The Highlight of the Lodge's Social Calender
The Ladies Festival is that wonderful evening of celebration for the Master and his Lady enjoy the company of the Members of the Lodge, their Ladies and their Guests. Sometimes this is an evening event locally and sometimes part of a weekend away.
Careful planning is the key to the evening's success and a Toastmaster can assist with that and ensure that everything goes according to plan on the evening. Alan Riddick, having had the priviledge of being the Master of two Lodges, is well aware of the etiquette and traditions required.
You can rely on him to guide you from anouncing the guests through to the last dance. Alan ensures that every detail is attended to. If you require, he will also sing the Ladies Song.
Duties are likely to include -
Liaising with the Banqueting Manager and the Photographer
Receiving the President and his Lady
Announcing the guests to the President and his Lady
Announcing Dinner
Announcing the President and His Lady to the top table
Announcing Grace before the meal - or saying Grace if required
Announcing the arrangements for the raffle or tombola, and the charity being supported
Announcing the various informal toasts, or wine takings, between courses
Announcing Grace after the meal, and if to be sung, to lead the singing
Announcing the National Anthem, and the Loyal Toast by the President
Calling on the Table Stewards to present the the Ladies Gifts
Announce the Speeches and and assisting with any presentations or bouquets
Sing the Ladies Song, if required
Conclude formalities and, if appropriate to the venue, lead the President and his Lady from the Top Table
Introduce the Band/Disco and announce the President and his Lady to lead the dancing
Assist with the Raffle draw
Conclude the evening in the traditional manner
Should you require a PA system for the speeches, I can provide a very suitable portable system for the occasion for a small additional fee. The same system can be also be used for music during dinner and for accompanying Grace, the National Anthem and the Ladies Song if required.
