Have you ever been to a Wedding that just lacked some of that laughter, humour and 'sparkle', or appeared not to be too well organised?  Please, don't let this happen on YOUR Special Day.

Allow me to assist you by taking care of the proceedings on your Wedding Day, not only in respect of the all-important traditions, but also to add some style and distinction the occasion deserves, along with some laughter, humour and yes – that ‘sparkle’.  It is important to take the pessure off of family and friends who should be allowed to enjoy the occasion without any stress of organising things.

You will have spent considerable time in planning and preparing for your Wedding.  On the day, your Toastmaster allows you and all the Bridal Party to relax and enjoy the occasion, knowing your requirements will be carefully managed in a friendly and courteous manner.

Resplendent in the Toastmasters’ traditional regalia complete with the familiar red tailcoat, the aim of a Toastmaster is to add something to your Special Day - one of the best and happiest days of your life.  With many years of dealing with Wedding Receptions I offer you the benefit of that experience and the knowledge of the correct protocol and etiquette to ensure that your Wedding Reception runs smoothly.

Before the occasion, I recommend that we meet, and agree the details of your requirements, also, if possible to visit the venue.  You will no doubt be using other professionals - photographers, videographers, musicians etc.  It is so important that their duties as well as those of the banqueting or catering staff are seamlessly linked together into a complete event - that is one of the benefits of engaging a Toastmaster.

It matters not whether your Wedding Reception is to be held in a Village Hall or a Palace, and no Reception is too big or too small.  I am only too happy to adapt, as the situation requires, between the formal and the more informal Master of Ceremonies style, and always work to help add some ‘sparkle’ on your Special Day.

If the Ceremony is at a Church or Registy Office, my duties would commence on your and your guest's arrival at the venue for the Reception.  If, as is becomming increasingly popular, the Ceremony and Reception are at the same venue, my duties would commence before the Guests arrive for the Wedding Ceremony.  It is usual to remain with you right through the day up to the time I invite the Bride and Bridegroom to lead the dancing, if you plan to have an evening party.

A few thoughts on PA Systems -

Many Wedding Receptions do not require a PA System, and, should one be needed, this can often be provided by the venue.  If however the venue does not have their own, and you feel that one would be useful to those who are to speak, I am able to provide an excellent portable system at a very modest cost.  It can also be used to provide background music from a CD or an IPod, should this be required.
Should you be planning a Wedding Reception in a Marquee, it is strongly recommeded that you do consider having a PA system.  Marquees provide virtually no resonance, and sound just 'disappears', so those who are to speak may struggle to be heard by those furthest away.
